This expedition is designed for those seeking to flow with nature. We will follow the river's course through ancient geological formations until we reach our private lagoon, the beating heart of the ecosystem.

Our lagoon is the most important point of water conservation in the reserve and the best setting for birdwatching. We have a documented record of over 100 bird species, including natural shelters of the spectacular Montezuma Oropendola (Papán Real) and various endangered species that come to drink.

For the more adventurous, the return journey can be made directly through the river waters. A tactical immersion that refreshes the body and deeply connects the spirit with the jungle.

Sanctuary Policies

Respect for wildlife in the lagoon area is paramount; we maintain a minimum noise level during the birdwatching session so as not to disturb their shelter.

Field Preparation

Lightweight breathable clothing, eco-friendly repellent, and closed-toe outdoor footwear (or sneakers) that can get completely wet if you decide to take the aquatic return route.
